Does anyone else love a face mask that makes you look like an emotionless serial killer just so you can creep out your partner?
No? Just me?
What about a face mask that brightens and detoxifies your skin, boosts radiance, decreases pore size, is cruelty free, protects against pollution damage and is pink?
If you say no I have to wonder what kind of person you are because those claims are amazing…
And the brand making those claims is Australian brand Sand&Sky.
Chances are, you haven’t yet heard of the brand Sand&Sky, but that’s ok because I am going to tell you what I know about their Brilliant Skin Purifying Pink Clay Mask.
Sand&Sky reached out to me in February to see if I would try their Brilliant Skin Purifying Pink Clay Mask. After back and forth emails confirming that their brand was 100% cruelty free and that they were happy for me to post an honest review of their mask, I said yes.
I received the mask back in February and have been using it twice a week since, which means I have had a decent amount of time to develop my opinion on it. Let’s get started:
What’s is it?
This is a Pink Australian Clay mask that claims to:
- Absorb dirt & impurities
- Draw out toxins
- Combat pollution
- Shrink and refine pores
- Enhance collagen production and cell regeneration
- Brighten complexion
What do you get?
- 58mL of product (or 1.96 fl.oz)
- A small wooden handle brush for application
The Chic Low-Down:
The first thing that I noticed about this mask was the luxurious packaging. The jar is made of glass and it is nice and heavy. The addition of the applicator brush was perfect as well because I prefer to apply all my face masks with a brush.
The mask itself is a very thick, pink creamy paste that spreads easily on to the skin with the brush. I alternate applying it all over my face, with applying it only in my oily areas – my forehead, t-zone and chin.
You certainly feel a tingling sensation initially. At first I was a little nervous that it might be aggravating my skin but it wasn’t. It just has active ingredients and this sensation is to be expected.
It dries relatively quickly, setting your face into that creepy, frozen look that all clay masks give. My husband finds this to be the best time to try make me laugh, which causes me no end of pain as the masks cracks with every movement.
The mask only needs to stay on 10 minutes and then it’s time to wash it off!
Once I take it off, my skin is noticeably brighter and more radiant (whoop whoop!). I have also noticed over time that my pores have become less clogged and my skin is generally clearer and more vibrant.
At $74.90 this mask is not cheap (in my opinion). However I do believe it lives up to everything that it claims to do. My skin is clean, clear and radiant and even my friends and family who have tried it, experienced the same thing.
The best thing about this mask is that it is a great, quick pick-me-up for your skin, especially if you’re looking a bit dull and dreary.
I have a feeling I’m going to be detoxifying and brightening my skin with this one for months to come and will certainly look at repurchasing it for myself when my current supply runs out.
