I’m a natural brunette (but aren’t we all ;)) and have gone to great lengths to lighten my ends at the cost of my hair’s health.
Towards the end of 2016 I completely let the care of my hair fall by the wayside. It got brassy and super dry to the point it would snap at the ends when I would brush it. I didn’t deserve the blonde locks that I had spent years cultivating!
Snap forward (pun intended) to January 2017 when I found my saviour – the BRITE Organix Masque for Blonde Hair.
I was perusing the haircare aisle at my local Priceline when some brightly coloured satchets caught my eye. I had not heard of BRITE before but was immediately drawn to the masques by the PETA logo on the front (a girl’s gotta have her CF beauty).
There are 8 different masks in the collection but I picked up the one for blonde hair, which is blackcurrant scented. I personally love the scent, but it is more of a candy blackcurrant scent than a natural blackcurrant scent.
You get 100mL for $8AUD and it comes in a great squeezy satchet that you see all uber cool masks coming in now (hello Instagram trends).
The mask is not only cruelty free but vegan as well, which is an added bonus.
I apply the mask to damp hair once a week after shampooing and conditioning, and then put it up in a top knot. It says you should leave it on for 10-15 minutes before rinsing, but I actually leave it on for as long as I possibly can. One weekend I left it on for 8 hours!
You will really notice the softness of your hair as you rinse the mask out.
What I love is how the mask tones my blonde ends, helping to return them to a more ashy blonde than brassy. My hair is left feeling incredibly soft and when left to dry naturally it is a lot less frizzy than it normally is.
The effects of this mask are immediate. My hair felt instantly softer, less frizzy and definitely more toned. Over the course of 2 months, using this masque once a week and have noticed a huge difference in the strength of my hair as well. It no longer breaks upon brushing!
I have already gone out and repurchased a backup as I do not want to be without it. I will also endeavour to try out some of their other amazing sounding masks – coffee mask anyone?
For such low price, huge variety and great results, I certainly recommend trying out a mask from the BRITE range. And if you don’t have lightened locks, there are 7 other masks that can cater to your every need!
Let me know if you have tried any products from the BRITE range and what you thought about them in the comments below. I would love to hear!
